Last week brought us some very special visitors. In an unprecedented coincidence, we had the great pleasure of hosting two of our Indian vendors in the same week! Three days of designing, planning, chatting, laughing, eating (and did I say laughing?), left us with very full hearts and much anticipation for 2016!
Day one we met with our longest standing vendor and friend, Sunil. We designed and dined from the early morning hours until the sun started to set and sadly took not one picture! It was an exciting day for us as we planned our first ever assorted luggage and bag collection-- debuting this coming year! Our visits with Sunil always leave us inspired and dreaming of our next big project. In our line of work, partners like Sunil are not just a luxury. His team is invaluable to our progress and we are so very blessed to work with them!
Day two brought us to the warehouse to visit with the lovely Linnen and Laces leadership! Asha and Naresh’s trip was the first in ten years! The last time that they were here, Missy was getting married and there were no great-grandbabies to speak of. Now our homes are bursting with ten little ones. Yes, folks-- there was baby snuggling a-plenty!
We were reminded last week of just how important our work is to the lives of many Indian families. Each order that we get to send their way quite literally puts food on their tables. We were also encouraged to hear some of the ways our vendors are contributing to their communities! It never ceases to amaze us how a fleeting introduction led one of our vendors to participate in the beautiful ministry of the White Rainbow Project. And if you haven’t yet heard of the work that these men and women do, then you need to click your way on over to their website to find out!
The three day jubilee wrapped up in the backyard of the Taylor Home, where we enjoyed a delicious American meal—complete with traditional Indian carrot pudding!
We are so very blessed each and every day by our wonderful vendors, and are so very thankful for them. We are looking forward to all that the next fifteen years of business and friendship will bring!
