New Big Sister

Alison Whisnand - Thursday, March 05, 2015

In case you haven’t yet heard, our little Abby is going to be a big sister very soon! And a big sister to TWO siblings, nonetheless! Hannah and William are expected this coming April, and we couldn’t be more excited about their arrival. This will be the Taylor family’s second set of twins- if you can even believe it! And Brad and Julie are not the only ones preparing for the arrival of their new babes, but Abby herself has also been hard at work. We thought we’d give you a sneak peek into this big sister’s recent preparations.

Firstly, there was her bed, of course. Big sisters can hardly be expected to sleep in cribs after all- what kind of example would that be? An upgrade to a more sensibly-sized mattress was necessary. Mom helped with the makeover by dressing the bed in our new, hand-pieced Emma quiltso cute!

There was also the very pressing matter of learning how to balance two babies at once -- an exercise that Abby has been frequently found practicing around the home.

Knowing that mom will need some extra help around the house once her brother and sister arrive, Abby has been sharpening her culinary techniques. She has the mixing thing down, but aprons, well – they can be tricky. Keep an eye out for our new children’s aprons arriving this summer!

And last, but most important – Abby has been most proactive in seeking counsel from her peers. Cousin Evan had some great tips on being an older sibling and Rylee and Kate have the twin stuff down pat these days.

Needless to say, getting ready for twins is exhausting work!

Abigail Grace

The much anticipated little bundle has arrived!

Brad and Julie welcomed Abigail Grace into the world on February 13th, and celebrated their most memorable Valentine's Day yet!

Baby Abby arrived 7lbs, 4oz and perfectly healthy.

Mommy had a smooth delivery and is doing well.

Baby Abby will soon go home to the Wilson's first home in sunny San Diego. They received their keys just days before baby Abby's delivery.

Their new home is situated on a beautiful hillside acre and is brimming with citrus fruit trees. Family and friends have been helping with the big move and have turned the property into their own little weekend u-pick farm - plucking lemons from the trees as they've come and gone.

I was able to hold little Abby on her birthday and I am looking forward to planting on a couple more kisses very soon. She is a precious little doll of a baby! Feel free to drop on over to our Facebook page and join us in congratulating the new parents on their very first little one.
